Butter Pie
The Butter Pie greetings card. This card celebrates a Prestonian delicacy the Butter Pie. You only know what a butter pie is if you live in the area of Preston, Leyland and Chorley. Butter pie was invented by the Catholics of Preston to eat on a Friday. Traditionally, on a Friday, Catholics weren't supposed to eat meat, so butter pie was created. The ingrediants are sliced potatoes, onion with a knob of butter all incased in pastry. If you haven't had one then you need to try!
